A chance encounter opens a karmic door that awakens memories of a previous lifetime when a breaking with a clan tradition led to power struggles and murder. This time as in the last Alyssa finds herself the target of a violent obsession by a man, who again sees her as a bane to his existence. Using his badge as the shield and a weapon, he sets out to once again kill her. Will a love from the past be able to save her this time or will the violent obsession once again kill her and all she loves? Nict for Ure Selfe (Not for Ourselves) is a suspenseful tale of betrayal and murder brought about by changing times and greedy men.

Chapter One

Alyssa struck the match.  Instantly, the end burst into flame.  She held it to the wick of the white candle until it ignited.  Pinching off the match head, she placed on the table. Taking a deep breath, she flipped her long chestnut color braid back over her shoulder; it bounced and swung around her waist. Focusing on her intent, she started the ritual. “Goddesses–Maiden, Mother, Crone I call to thee and ask that you appear to me.”

Picking up the candle, she held it above the surface of the water.  Its glow illuminated just beyond the rim of the black bowl and reflected off the clear surface.  “On this darkest of night, grant me the portal to make things right.  Let me see clearly the moments of the past, so that I may understand what is happening at last.”

Tapping the edge with the candlestick, the glass on glass echoed throughout the dark

room. The vibration rippled through the water.  “As I created a wave in the glass, so I ask you help me with my task.”

She set the candlestick next to the bowl and placed her hands on either side palms down.  “Let me see where his hatred of me had begun, so that his vengeance can be undone.  Why he stalks me I know not why, yet I know the answer lies in times gone by.  Take me back to the time and place, so that I may end the conflict with haste and grace.”

Picking up the four raven feathers, she held them above the candle.  “Goddesses of the raven and night, who left these feathers as a symbol of your might.  I call you now to come me, to create a justice that even the blind may see.  I call your forth to this land to guide the karmic hand.  For those who have done harm to me, let their reckoning begin now–so mote it be.”

Placing the feathers equal distance around the bowl, Alyssa paused for a moment to let their energy settle around her. Stretching her neck side to side, she took a deep breath and allowed her Priestess training to relax her body into a meditative state.  The outer world fell away as she sank deeper within herself and started climbing the stairs to her own soul.  Into the darkness, the staircase spiraled upward, until she reached the iridescent platform where her Akashic record was held.

Suspended in the darkness of endless time, Alyssa looked for a guide to help her.  But she was alone.  In the past, there had always been someone there to act as a guide to help her face the challenge. Uncertain, she stepped up to the pedestal.  If she was to atone for a past error, she would be give direction.  However, if she was merely a player as another strutted and fretted through a karmic lesson, then she could do little more than watch.

The book lay open before her.  On it, fate continued to write. “Book of all my lives, show me karmic tie that echoes into this life.”  The pages flipped, stopping twice before it came to rest on the life named Shannon Marie Cullen.

The image of an auburn haired young woman lifted up off the page and hovered above. Her heart shaped face still had the softness of youth.  Yet the hazel eyes sparkled with old wisdom.  She wore her hair pulled back into a long, single braid.   Although she seemed familiar, Alyssa felt no emotional connection to her.  There was no bond or sense of being between them.  Only a faint familiarity like a tune whose melody echoes in the back of your mind, yet you cannot remember the words or the context in which you heard it.

She reached out to touch the image; it reached back.  Yet before their fingertips touched, Shannon Marie vanished only to be replaced by a three dimensional screening of wooded forest.  Rich and lush it sported multiple shades of green, tans and browns as the forest became fields and forest once again.

As her perspective changed, Alyssa felt herself zooming to focus on the scene that was most important.  Yet it was more than just pictures and sounds.  The smell of the fields and rushing of the river below sparked memories and long sleeping emotions.

No matter where her life led her, she could never find the safe sense of home. Fear always kept her from letting her roots grow too deep.  She had never understood. Her childhood was no better or worse than anyone else’s.  Yet as her spirit drew closer, the familiarity once again made her crave the comfort of home.

Through breaks in the leaves, she saw two girls running quickly.  She knew who they were, yet she didn’t feel connected.  Instead, like a moderated film, she watched them from above.  Instead recalling her own memories, the information flowed to her in unspoken words and images as if someone was narrating their story to catch her up with the story.

Shannon Marie ran breathlessly up the glen, quickly followed by her younger sister, Rachael.  Although a year and two months younger, Rachael looked more like Shannon Marie’s twin.

Both girls favored their Scottish heritage with their flaming hair and outspoken temperaments.  Their two older sisters, Elizabeth Marie and Katherine Anne favored their mother’s French heritage both physically and in temperament.  Fair-haired beauties they openly used their feminine assets to manipulate others to get what they wanted.

The plain spoken mannerism of the patriarch of the family along with his two youngest daughters frequently came into conflict with the matriarch and the eldest sisters’ elitism as they boasted of their unclaimable link to the French throne.   They refused to see that no matter which man laid down with the mother, the child could lay no claim to parentage unless they were acknowledged by both the father and family. Jacqueline Marie Katherine de Medici may have lay with the King of France, but the daughter they created was conceived above the sheets–not beneath them.  Jacqueline refused to be silenced at court about the parentage of her growing child within her.  It was the reason Marie marked her for death. But instead of a curse on mother and unborn child, the midnight escaped to Scotland became a blessing as the people’s revolution sought out the privileged nobles.

In the highlands, Abigail Marie Katherine de Medici was born without a father; the fortune and power of the de Medici family hid the stain, but was never washed away.  Having valuable connections in the English and Italian courts, Jacqueline was received as her family station required.  Eventually she attained a small estate and fitted herself into the region.

For the next few days, it will only be available on my website

But it will soon be available as a Kindle.

Elizabeth was asked by her mentor to teach a writing course at a small college. Since she never forgets a kindness, she reluctantly agrees. Arriving in town, she instantly regrets her decision. She wants to run, but she is honor bound to stay. Even as the ghost of a small child begs her to forgive, the memories of another time arouse feelings of hatred that she doesn’t understand and cannot control. When she meets Shane, all of their lives are thrown onto a dangerous collision course from which they can neither run, nor can they hide. The question is, “Can they overcome their tragic past or will they be doomed to repeat it.

Dear Film Investor,

With all the industries that are looking for investors, why have you chosen to support film and or television? Yes, it can be profitable, but so are many other kind of businesses. So why have you chosen to risk your money on projects that are solely based on the whims of the audiences?

I chose to be a writer, because telling stories is how my soul breaths. I became a producer and editor to bring quality to those tales. I am a creative with a good business sense. It is this blending from which profitable films and television projects are born.

I would like to speak with you about the qualities that make a successful and profitable film. It’s easy to describe the traits in hindsight. Think about your favorite films. Does list contain sequels and remakes or does it have the original movies? If your list is like mine, it contains the original projects. So many filmmakers have been remaking the great films, while I on the other hand want to work with those that made them great.

Audiences are very fickle and unpredictable. Project that shouldn’t work by the numbers some times are the biggest successes, while those, who should be the big hits, flop at the box office. That is the name of the game. The summer of 2014 was cold and rainy, which should have driven people to the box office, yet it was the worse in 20 years. The studios keep making excuses and pointing at reasons that were out of their control. This year they are bragging about the big box office receipts, but are their films really as popular as they are claiming when you factor in the huge cost of movie tickets. It’s easy to rack up big sale numbers when you are multiplying by a large number. How profitable will they be after you factor in their immense production and marketing budgets?

It may sound like I am trying to talk you out of investing in the entertainment industries. But that is far from the truth. I’m asking you to actually think about why you want to invest and then really look at the industry.

Most studios are part of large corporate conglomerates, who frequently use them tax write offs. For this reason, they choose projects that won’t be successful, then further hobble their ability to be profitable by inflating the budgets. Their corporate accounting voodoo blackens the entertainment industry’s reputation with the high risk label. Is it really the industry or the bean counters who are at fault when a film or television project doesn’t make a profit?

Think about your favorite films. Were they remakes or were they original projects. Was Jaws 2 or 3 as good as the original? Or was it the originality and the innovation that made it your favorite? Great films start with a solid, original script. Revamping an existing script and adding the latest special effects isn’t creating a new film; it’s producing a rerun.

To expand the concept, did the actors make the film your favorite or was it the film, which made you a fan of the actors? A list talent guarantee nothing but a larger budget. This is a fact that has been proven many times in the past decade as films starring the biggest names crash and burned at the box office. A list talent doesn’t make a film profitable; casting the right talent in the right role makes both the film and the actor popular.

A quality film starts with a sold, original script that has well develop characters and plot. Quality comes from properly preparing during pre-production to develop and incorporate the creative elements, while factoring the budgetary restrictions. If you properly plan, you don’t have to waste money fixing in post. Once the film is ready for the audiences, the promotion and marketing campaigns need to showcase the film through all media venues. However, for good or ill, the best marketing tool is still word of mouth, which is why the initial presentation to the target audience is so important. It is the hub to reach the general audiences

When you give your customers what they want, when they want it in a cost effective way, your business will be successful. This especially applies to the entertainment industry. People can’t live without food, shelter, or energy, but entertainment comes from disposable income. When that budget is tight, audiences become more particular with how they spend their time and money. With all the new venues, you have to give the audiences a reason to choose your project. Our projects are build on solid original scripts that have strong casts and crews. . At Cosmos Productions we combine originality, innovation, and common sense budgets to produce both film and television projects about people who are forced to face their fears. Sometimes they win. Sometimes they lose. But either way, they will inspired the audiences to laugh, cry, and care about the characters as if they were friends, family, or the person they see in the mirror. In short, we give them a reason and permission to become emotionally involved with others.

We keep our budgets reasonable and responsible, which allows us to produce more projects and spread the risk among them. I can’t legally guarantee that our projects will make a profit, but when you give the audiences what they want, they have proven they will come. I invite you to join our team and enjoy our amazing journey.

Horses and Heroes Although veterans can’t go back and make a brand new start, they can start from now and make a brand new end. Comparable: I have not found another show like it. Genre: Documentary/talk show TV series Status: ready for pre-production

Horses and Heroes combines the concepts a talk show with that of a documentary, by intertwining the spontaneity of a talk show with the scripted informational aspects of a documentary. It will utilize both interviews and practical demonstrations of horse therapy to give the audience a full understanding of how and why working with the horses help veterans heal. Operation Home Base Helping others heals our wounds Comparable: MASH, The Waltons, and NCIS Genre: Scripted Drama -Action TV series Status: ready for pre-production winter 2016
Not all scars show. Not all wounds heal.
Author unknown
Missing limbs can be replaced by the miracle of modern medicine and technology. They are functional, but not the same. But what of the pain that is unseen yet goes soul deep? These are the wounds that bind us to the past. Some use it as an excuse to hurt others. Some hurt themselves. Yet there are the few who channel their pain into helping others as a way of healing themselves or to pay penance for the harm they caused.
Facing their own demons, veterans and civilians come together to actively make a difference through legal, medical and logistics systems, to help active duty, reserves, and retired military personnel, veterans and their dependents. Their motto is: “We’ve got your back” What if, in their dedication to help, the founders of Operation Home Base stumble upon an international cover up; putting a target on their backs? Do they shrink in fear or do they “damn the torpedoes” to face the challenge with a “gung-ho” mentality?

Eye of Ra Envying others murders the best of ourselves. Comparable: Exorcist and Amityville Horror Genre: Occult Horror Status: Spring 2016

All families have natural gifts that they pass down through the generations. Yet these gifts are not always equally shared among family members. Sometimes generations are skipped or given the talents that are more passive than active. Not all gratefully accept their destiny; instead, they choose to steal what belongs to others–even if it means murdering their own children.
Katherine was born with the power to control the elements. Her whistle called the winds. Her tears refreshed the earth. She sees into the realms where fools and angels fear to tread. Yet her daughter Sandra’s gift were complimentary—or they should have been. Katherine created life. Sandra had the ability to nurture and heal. She could see their destiny and helps them to release their fears. Instead she envied the talents others. A voice from the dark void asked, “What she would do to have their power. Sandra replied, “Whatever it takes.”

Love can be a blessing or the curse that destroys a town.

No Where Else Like It is a specialized marketing campaign, which cross brands Michigan based products or services with the paranormal thriller Never Can Say Good-bye. The campaign is designed to feature Michigan products and services within the film itself as well as featuring their parent company in the promotional and marketing campaigns from the start of pre-production through the theatrical release. The No Where Else Like It campaign will also feature the uniqueness of Michigan within videos that will be produced by the cast and crew. These videos will be distributed via the Internet, placed on the official and personal websites, and with the DVD/download load release.

Product placement in films and television is not a new concept. However, it is one that is ever changing. In the early years of television, advertisers sponsored individual shows. The program quality and the product reputation were intertwined. Throughout the decades single sponsorship no longer exists. It has been replaced by commercial breaks, which makes the advertising completely separate from the entertainment. Although initially the change has made it less costly for advertisers, it also limits the ad’s effectiveness to a single airing. If the audience missed it too bad so sad, but the networks are more than willing to sell you more air time. The simple fact is that people need to see a message at least three times before the message sticks with them enough to prompt them into action.

However, product placement has not disappeared; it has been transformed. Instead of sponsoring the entire project, sponsors pay for or do in kind exchanges to have their products or services are embedded in films and television programs as part of the action or the sets. Once embedded the product placement becomes permanent. Unlike other forms of advertising, this form of marketing has a one time fee, yet a nearly unlimited reach and exposure potential. Each time the project is viewed, the embedded products will once again be marketed without any extra cost to the sponsors.

Never Can Say Good-bye will be making full use of traditional product placement for their production needs. We will be looking to do in kind exchanges for

A large hotel: as a location and for lodging for cast and crew
Vehicles as locations and transporation
Air Travel for cast and crew
Brewery/bar as a location
Large auditoriums for meet and greets with cast and crew
Digital video equipment and ghost hunting gear as props

Sponsors’ product, service or company name would be shown in at least three scenes. They would be given non speaking roles as an extra, invited to the wrap party and the Michigan premiere. They would be thanked in the credits. But more importantly their logo with an active link will be attached to nearly all our online marketing and they would be listed as sponsors at our live events.

In addition, the No Where Else Like It campaign, which will show the uniqueness of Michigan with videos produced by the production team will be sponsored by Michigan corporations and businesses. These videos would be part of the marketing campaigns both online and with most other venues. Sponsors would act as host and guide for the cast and crew as they explore the state. Videos would include:

* Local festivals
* Sleep Bear Dunes
* The Manitou Islands
* Interlochen Arts Academy
* Avalanche Preserve
*Mackinaw Island and bridge
* Snowflake Campground
* National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods in Indian River
*looking for Petoskey stones
* Sault Locks
* Henry Ford Museum, including the revitalization of the Detroit area
* Michigan State campus
* Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls

During the production, the cast and crew will be holding meet and greets with the public in the areas where we will be filming. Sponsors would also be included in these events as well as the hosting location. The public would be able to ask questions and have their picture taken with the stars of Never Can Say Good-bye. These events will be recorded and released online through sites such as YouTube, Facebook and other social networking sties. Additionally, real time streaming events will be scheduled online, which will give the domestic and foreign audience opportunities to speak with the cast and crew.

Never Can Say Good-bye will be an opportunity to market products and services not only nationally, but also internationally through theatrical release, DVD/downloads, pay per view, and broadcast network release. Once embedded, the products or services will always be there at no additional cost.

Before you discount your ability to financially be part of our team ask yourself how much is exposure to a world of new customers worth? In addition, marketing expenses are both state and federal tax deductible as a business expense. Those who mitigate our production costs might also be able to claim a deduction under Section 181 of the federal tax code, which is a deduction equal to 100% of the investment in the production. You would need to speak with your tax professional to get the full details of how this incentive would apply to your company.

Also ask yourself when was the last time you walked out of a movie satisfied?

It was implied to me yesterday that I am archaic. That I don’t know what the modern audience wants. I always loved films because they were a break in the fast pace, competitive world. Those two hours were a time to laugh, cry, be scared and visit other worlds. It was a time to relax and take a break from my own worries and life challenges. You fell in love with and along with the characters. You shared their adventures and their challenges. You also shared in their successes. They gave you hope that you could also win in your life.

But evidently movies aren’t like that any more. I was told that in order to get foreign sales there had to be nudity and sex . Evidently they are more important the the foreign markets instead of love and romance. Plot and character development were less important than the having the scenes strobe across the screen. I have been told that the modern audiences don’t have the attention span, patience, or the intelligence to watch movies that have actual plot and character development. It’s so much easier to produce shallow films; they sell more toys, beach towels and other crap.

I don’t believe this to be true. I believe that there is intelligent life out there, but I think that they are being ignored. I know there is a market for good old fashion plot and character based films. So let them call me archaic. I’ll wear the label proudly because I will not compromise on quality.
